Rewilding your Heart

Rewilding your Home

“ I am a North London Printmaker and Visual artist,

working in response to the writings and sensibilities of Robert MacFarlane, Nan Shepherd and other writers and poets with deep Nature and the ungovernable tangle of Wild at the heart of their works.

Examining remote aspects of landscapes, the overlooked, the undervalued, the near extinct, offers subject matter that is based on endangered elements in differing types of landscapes: Copses, Forests, Woods, Wild meadows, Bogs and celebrates the ancientness and diversity of the landscapes.

I currently prints with collographs and block printing working with layer upon layer of printing methods to represent the layers of time, seasons, history, place and growth. “

  • EVENTS AND EXHIBITIONS

Events and Exhibitions for 2026 and 2027 to come shortly

  • FRENCH AND ITALIAN ART RETREATS 2027

The coming year, there are two art retreats:

FRANCE: Week 1: 30th April to 7th May Week 2: 10th May to 17th May

‍ ITALY: Awaiting dates on Italy 2027 but it will be in August

FRANCE: This is a beautiful area of the South West of France offering a wonderful week of making art, connecting people to the landscape and the beauty of nature. This week has the potential for yoga, sound baths and canoeing on the Aveyron River as well, if you feel like it. This quiet sanctuary sits on 20 acres of land perched above the river valley and the town of St Antonin Noble Val , a nearby medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val is 10 minutes away.

you get to see the geography and amazing nature of the Valley and cliffs of that area

There are 8 double bedrooms in the house and 6 bedrooms in the yoga barn, the bathrooms are shared. So you would each have a room to yourselves.

The the week is a fully catered week with three meals a day and snacks, fruits, coffee and drinks throughout the day. The wonderful Enzo travels from Italy to work falonside other chefs for the summer there.

There is a swimming pool, a tree house and  a yurt won the site. The yoga barn is used for yoga ( we can bring teachers in for that) and will also be available as an art studio to work indoors is required.

The land is wooded around the house  but cultivated and open and you would be free to wander, do artwork where you want or lounge on a sunbed  to read a book, play badminton or just be being.

The Art Part. I’m keen that students progress in areas they are interested in and that there is the freedom of working plein air to explore various aspects of your practice.  We could use many different mediums and look at some new techniques or you could pursue the medium of your choice for the week.

In the past retreats we have covered : Drawing, sketching, watercolours, acrylics, pen and inks, chalks, oil pastels and any combination of the above. We can cover landscapes, still lives, buildings and villages, portraits and every combination of these.

Prices: In progress but will be with you shortly
